Last updated 6 months ago

Commercial-tier subscriptions include a secondary test environment for your Reporting Hub.

Installing a Secondary Environment

Installing a secondary environment is as simple as using the to create another instance on your Azure environment.

  • If you're using a Production or higher tier Azure App Service, you can deploy to another slot on the same app service as your production environment.

  • You can choose to create a new database on the same Azure SQL Server as your production database or use a new Azure SQL Server entirely.

Once you've installed, contact The Reporting Hub support to let us know and we will apply the secondary environment license. Please include the URL for your secondary environment in your support ticket.

Once your license has been applied, you will see a banner at the top indicating this is your dev environment.

Considerations

The Reporting Hub does not provide a CI/CD pipeline for updating primary or secondary environments. To update your Reporting Hub apps, please run the in the environment you wish to update.
